Summer registration began on February 18, 2010 for all students.  

Schedule
students on CampusRegister early for the best selection of courses and sections. There are six summer sessions, with dates as follows:

First 5 Week (2010SF5) 5/24/10 - 6/29/10
Ten Week (2010S10) 5/24/10 - 8/4/10
12 Week (2010S12) 5/24/10 - 8/11/10
Second 5 Week (2010SS5) 6/30/10 - 8/4/10
Six Week (2010S6) 6/30/10 - 8/11/10
Post Session (2010SPO) - 8/5/10 - 8/31/10

Cost
Distance learning courses have additional fees.  Before registering for a course view the college’s cost per credit as well as the course syllabus for any lab kit fee.

Registration  What kind of student are you?
Currently attending Ocean County College student
Register through your Ocean Cruiser account or in person at the Registration and Records Office.

New student living in the area
Complete an application for admission and register in person at the Registration and Records Office.

New student living out of the area/Distance Learning Student
Print and fax your application for admission and registration letter to the Registration and Records Office.  Your letter requesting registration in the course you wish to take must include the official course name (i.e. General Psychology), course code (i.e. PSYC 172), section (i.e. 01) and term (2010SF5, 2010S10, 2010S12, etc.). Use Webadvisor to be certain of the exact course/section you want, and to be certain whether or not that course/section still has availability. You must sign your letter and include your phone number, so that a staff member may call you to confirm we have received and acted upon your request. FAX 732.864.3849 ATTN: Course Registration.

Students currently attending another college or university

Complete an application for admission, (check off Visiting Student (ND.VS) on the application) make a copy of your current school id or bring an unofficial copy of your current transcripts and register in person at the Registration and Records Office.  If you are sending a parent to the Registration and Records Office to register for you, be certain to provide them with a note authorizing them to act on your behalf.

OR

Fax a printed application for admission, (check off ND.VS. on the application), a copy of your current school id or unofficial transcripts and registration letter to the Registration and Records Office.  Your letter requesting registration in the course you wish to take must include the official course name (i.e. General Psychology), course code (i.e. PSYC 172), section (i.e. 01) and term ( i.e. 2010SF5, 2010S10, 2010S12, etc.). *** You can request that Ocean County College send your transcript to your school using the transcript request form.


Jump Start student
High school Jump Start students must re-submit the OCC Admissions “green” form and register in person every semester.

Special registration groups
Unemployed, silver edge and certain volunteer programs must wait until the day before the session starts to register in person.
Dropping Courses
Once the semester begins, there will be a brief Drop/Add period, when you may adjust your schedule, with appropriate permission. Be very careful to note the refund dates printed on your bill/schedule. Also, note no registration of any kind can or will be accepted after the 50% refund period ends on the Attendance Census Date for each session.

Courses must be dropped before the semester begins to be relieved of the financial obligation.  Students living in the area can complete a drop form in the Registration and Records Office.  Students living out of the area can fax a letter requesting they be dropped from their specific courses to the Registration and Records Office.

Payment
Payment is due at registration and can be made by cash, check, OR credit card.
Students who do not pay their tuition bills may be dropped for non-payment.
The payment plan is not available for summer terms.
Currently attending students who registered through their Ocean Cruiser account can pay online.
