Academic & Student Services Events
OCC Manahawkin provides all student services including advising, registration, and financial aid. We are dedicated to providing a full college experience to our students. In addition to the academic services available at OCC Manahawkin, students can participate in clubs and organizations without traveling to the main campus. Visiting Departments
Students are invited to explore academic programs and meet faculty and staff, to gain a better understanding of the courses and resources available. It’s a chance to ask questions, learn about career paths, and see how the department supports student success. Visiting departments can help prospective and current students make informed decisions about their academic journey and future opportunities.
Kean Ocean/OCC Transfer Serv
Monday, Feb. 10th – Kean Ocean and OCC Transfer Services Dual Advising offers degree completion program options to transfer students for over 40 undergraduate programs. For each major option, Kean University and Ocean County College have worked together to review the credits earned throughout the Associate’s degree program and the credits that would then be needed to complete and earn a Bachelor’s degree. Following the prescribed articulation agreement for the degree pursued allows for a seamless transition. Student Support Services (SSS)
Tuesday, Feb. 11th – SSS is a comprehensive program providing support and enrichment for first-generation, low-income, and/or college students with disabilities. SSS helps students persist and complete a college degree by offering free and one-on-one services like:
Intensive advising, Individualized tutoring, Success Coaching, Financial Aid Assistance, Exposure to cultural events, College/University visits, Career Services, and Financial literacy.
OCC Manahawkin Food Pantry
The OCCM Wellness/Helping Hands Space is open to all students and staff seeking a quiet place to relax, grab a snack to get through the day, or take something home!
Important Information
- The OCC Manahawkin Food Pantry is ready to assist. Please connect with anyone on the team if you need anything, so we can point you in the right direction.
- Please connect with an advisor if you need a student ID.
- Students – feel free to use the student lounge areas anytime during the week to study. All are welcome!
- OCC Manahawkin opens at 7:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday, and at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. In the event the staff member(s) opening OCC Manahawkin at 7:30 am are running late, (due to unforeseen circumstances while traveling to the building), please know there is another staff member scheduled to arrive by 8:00 a.m. each day. Be advised that 8:00 a.m. classes will always be able to run at their regularly scheduled time.
- Don’t forget to check out some amazing shows at the Ocean County College Robert J. Novins Planetarium throughout the month!
