The Grunin Center Art Gallery (formerly Arts & Community Center), on the Ocean County College Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ, is proud to host exhibits featuring local and national artists. Admission to the Gallery is free.
All exhibits are subject to change. Please call ahead for updated opening/closing dates.
Gallery Exhibits August 2014 through August 2015:
THROUGH AUGUST 29, 2014
Elizabeth DeGregorio: Working in watercolor, graphite, colored pencil, acrylic, and mixed media, her subjects include portraits, landscapes, seascapes, and florals, from representational to purely abstract designs.
Joan Cesario: Painting in oil, Cesario concentrates on portraits and still lifes.
OCTOBER 3 - 31, 2014
Ann Hayes & Friends: “Down the Shore: Paintings and Photographs Before and After Sandy”: Hayes works in watercolor capturing the everyday beauty found in both nature and man-made artifacts including beach scenes, landmarks, and local landscapes.
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2014
American Artists’ Professional League: This remarkably large and beautiful exhibition includes a wide range of paintings, sculpture, and graphic arts featuring an eclectic group of local New Jersey artists.
Audrey Linstrom: Working in oils, watercolors, and giclée, Linstrom’s paintings portray her emotional response to the beauty that surrounds us. Her canvases are filled with charming children, beautiful women, and tranquil settings including woodland vistas, waterways, and ocean beaches.
Paul Gibson: A local artist, gallery exhibit information is to come.
Ocean County Teen Arts Festival: The Teen Arts Program is an arts-in-education project where area high school students have an opportunity to have their work critiqued by professionals in their field. Artwork is displayed in a variety of media including basic drawing, caricatures & cartoon art, paper sculpture, pen & ink, and water color imagery.
Paula Kolojeski: Working on location whenever possible, Kolojeski captures the play of light and brings the viewer into the moment that inspired her. Working in pastels, her subject matter includes sand and sea, along with wooded areas. Kolojeski often develops oil paintings based on her pastels.
Art Schindler: Painting since 2004, Schindler is a self-taught artist. He paints mainly in acrylics and mixes painting styles from abstract to whimsical. Schindler rarely plans a painting, which evolves from the first brush stroke on the canvas.
Senior Citizens Art Exhibit: Professional and nonprofessional artists, 60 years of age or older, who are residents of Ocean County will display their original artwork in one of several categories including acrylic, craft, digital, drawing, mixed media & collage, oil, pastel, photography, print, sculpture, and watercolor.

Louis Riccio & Students: Riccio’s work spans a variety of mediums and his technique varies in mood, matching the character of his subject. An award-winning professional artist, Riccio’s still lifes and portraits evoke sensitivity. He has for more than two decades enjoyed teaching and sharing his love of art.
The Grunin Center Art Gallery at Ocean County College is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturdays when classes are in session. Additionally, the Gallery will be open to the public when performances and events take place in the Grunin Center. (Please check the theatre schedule for times and events.)
Large groups planning to visit the Gallery are asked to make arrangements with the Director of the Fine Arts Center at least one week in advance.
