Born in Unna, Germany, in 1932, Manny Lindenbaum witnessed rising anti-Jewish actions. In 1938, his family was forced to flee to Poland, enduring harsh conditions.

As Germany prepared to invade Poland, Manny’s parents made the heartbreaking decision to send him and his brother, Siegfried, to England on the Kindertransport. Tragically, his sister Ruth was denied passage and, along with their parents, was deported to Auschwitz and murdered. Manny and Siegfried escaped on the last boat to England before the 1939 invasion.

Now 92, Manny is a peace activist who inspires thousands by sharing his Holocaust experiences. His message encourages speaking out against hatred and bigotry and highlights the power of resilience and action to change the world.
