If students are unable to get to class, their ability to continue on in their program can become challenging. Funding is available to assist students in their commute between the locations that our students frequent including ride share, gasoline, and one-time emergency auto repair funding.

Transportation Grant Funding:

NJ Transit

NJ Transit offers discounted bus passes to Ocean County College Students.

  • Southbound passes through Monmouth County via Freehold and Howell, Lakewood, and Brick Township.
  • Northbound from Toms River Park and Ride, stops at the Ocean County Mall.
  • Bus 67 stops outside the Library (#3) in parking lot 1.
  • Northbound stops in most townships along Route 9 starting in Little Egg Harbor.
  • Exchange at Toms River Park and Ride to Bus 67 right to campus.
  • Southbound stops in most townships along Route 9 starting at the Lakewood Bus Terminal.
  • Bus 559 runs in both directions multiple times per day
